Fire and Rescue Services Industry Training Organisation
FRSITO is one of 40 Industry Training Organisations (ITOs) established under the Industry Training Act 1992. We are part of the Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) strategy which aims to improve the quality and quantity of skills training right across the economy, through competency-based training and assessment in the workplace.
FRSITO is registered as an Incorporated Society. Details about this can be found under the Rules section.
FRSITO is responsible for setting national standards and facilitating training and assessment for the industry, as well as moderating internal and external training provision. We support a framework for training and qualifications across a wide range of industry skills.
