FRSITO works closely with and is governed by a Board made up of representatives from sectors of the industry.
For FRSITO to succeed as a key Industry Organisation for training and development, the high performance of the FRSITO Board is vital. To achieve this success it requires good governance from the Board, and strong management by the National Manager. A formal set of rules for FRSITO is registered with the Companies Office. These rules establish the broad framework for the operations of FRSITO and the Board.
The Board has overall responsibility for the management of operational systems and governance of the Society.
The Key Roles and Responsibilities of the Board are to:
Govern the ITO
Set and review the ITO strategic direction
Provide Financial stewardship
Review the performance of the ITO
Set and review policy
Delegate powers as necessary
Monitor Industry directions and requirements
Monitor Government direction

The Board may delegate responsibility for parts of the system to advisory groups such as:
Policy Planning and Finance Advisory Group (PPFAG)
Training Advisory Group (TAG)
Quality Management Advisory Group (QMAG)
The Board also delegates day to day responsibility for the operational management of the FRSITO to the appointed National Manager.
